AI Is Everywhere
AI is becoming more capable than people in more and more domains. What comes next for humanity?
Before AI
Before AI, human beings could still take pride in our intelligence. It was the one thing machines—objects without minds or souls—could not rival. Machines were designed, manufactured, and maintained by humans.
I was proud to be one of the people who did that work. I still am.
Now
I built this website with AI. Without it, the site would not be this organized, nor would I have brought it online so quickly.
I ask AI how I should maintain the website. I also turn to it with problems from both my daily life and my work.
It seems only a matter of time before AI can build and maintain its own physical body, with no human involvement at all.
When that day arrives, what will remain uniquely human? Perhaps flesh will be the only distinction left.
